Yeláw means ‘after’, or ‘passed by’. You can use it for time (yeláw texswayel – ‘after noon’), and also for someone passing by on a path or road (Chxw la yeláw – ‘you passed by’) .


Pronunciation

Yeláw sounds like yill-LAW.  (Some speakers also say this word yiláwyee-LAW.)
